Todays’s QOTD is running late so let’s have one between us. I will compile and share the results later or maybe tomorrow.

Some very good cars are getting no coverage at all and noboby buys them, that’s a shame. Saab and Suzuki comes to mind. On the other hand, some cars are getting raving reviews while not being that good at all.

What car for sale right now should people care a bit more about ?

Well, your lede image is my suggestion. The Regal Turbo is a great car. Very quick. Almost like a luxury FoST sedan.

The Regal (specifically the GS) is definitely one of the most underrated cars out there, but my vote always has to go to the SS.

I submit the S60, V60 from Volvo. You can get a fuel-efficient options, optional AWD, good dynamics, loads of safety features, and if you so desire, a 345hp/369 lb-ft AWD wagon or sedan that will get to 60 mph in under 5 seconds. Plus it looks damn sexy.

It’s $6k more than a Taurus SHO and $12k more than a Charger R/T. Maybe underrated but definitely overpriced, especially considering the predecessor Pontiac G8 GT could be had for $30,000.

It offers more than either of those two cars though, or the G8. You can argue the fact that it hurts having literally only one trim, but it’s a better vehicle than either of those, with a better engine and more tech (like the magnetic dampers - standard).

I would say it’s overrated, especially the Polestar, which I got the opportunity to check out. The cargo space in them is a joke. And $62k for the Polestar is hilarious.

I will give it to the Audi S6. It’s the best supersedan that nobody talks about.

It’s beautiful inside and out, elegant, incredibly spacious, great to drive, and for its supercar-like straight line performance has remarkably good highway range.

Additionally, I think it speaks volumes that C&D picked an S6 as a comparo winner over an M5 and an E63, which are priced something like %40 higher.

Bland is not the same as having similar styling as the A4 or the A8. I also disagree that it’s bland.

On a side note, it is interesting that these days, cars are either “boring” or “bland”, or they’re “ugly.” There really is no pleasing everybody....or most people for that matter.

Maybe not the underrated but the one most taken for granted and should have cared more about is the Evo X. We all forgot about it, mainly because they havent updated it in years but the Evo is dying this year or the next and its such a great car. It kept Subaru in check for a long time and pushed the boundaries of what a AWD turbo 4cyl could do.

The WRX STi will be the sole rally oriented car from Japan now. I mean every generation all the car magazines had the question “which one is better the STi vs Evo?” I guess now its going to be STi vs RS and that just doesn’t seem right.

Dodge ram 1500 tradesman. Everything you want in a pickup, nothing you don’t. GM and Ford have similar trucks but they’re getting all the limelight right now. Jeep steals the headlines for FCA while the ram 1500 just quietly chugs along, doing its job. Get the old reliable 5.7 hemi and 6-speed auto and it’s cheaper than the V6 with the 8 speed. Is it better or worse than the others? Well I don’t know, but it should certainly be included when comparing full size pickups. I’ll bet you can score some epic deals on one during truck month or whatever.

Passat CC. Similar to the Buick regal in the sense that it costs the same as a mid-sizer but it is much more special. The looks and interior alone makes it feel much better than other mid sizers. There is also the possibility of having a manual with the 2.0. Then there is the 3.6 VR6 and the 4 Motion which could be quite a fun package. Last but not least the noise:

The GXP had the same engine. You’re paying an additional $15k for dampers, fake chrome trim, pointless infotainment and a Impala body kit.

The Regal is not overrated, it’s overpriced. In Europe it’s an Opel, wich is a completely normal car. Here as a Buick, it must be ‘’premium’’, so they pumped up the price. Should’ve been a Saturn.

The ones in the video are from the first gen. The second gens are much cleaner and futuristic-er.
